The 2012 Chardonnay combines the power and intensity of flavour seen in the 2010 vintage with the finesse and elegance expressed in the 2011. It is one that will undoubtedly reward careful cellaring for at least the next 10-15 years. The nose opens with some struck match, but quickly reveals tones of cashews, grapefruit and toast. The palate exhibits a perfect balance between acid, phenolics and oak, all combining to draw out the finish. There is a purity of fruit seen in this Chardonnay that can only be found in the very best vintages
