About the Wine: Charmes-Chambertin is a Grand Cru vineyard and comparing label of the Cote de Nuits in Burgundy. The vineyard site (climat) is situated at the southern end of Gevrey-Chambertin's Grand Crus, close to the collective limit with Morey-Saint-Denis.Medium red, Nose overwhelmed by cinnamon and smoky oak. Rich on passage, then truly shut in the centre sense of taste, with the wine oak part ruling its modest shy fruit. This shows more substance than flavor today, and will need time to express itself.
