About the wine – 2001 Vintage
Rich and plump, with beautiful coffee, plum, wild berry and zest notes that are smooth and cleaned, long and flavourful. An amazingly restricted discharge wine from one of Australia's "Cult" wineries. From the home's freshest vineyard (seven years), the 2001 Shiraz Alice's (600 cases) burns through 26-28 months in old American oak barrels and little foudres (hogsheads), and is packaged unfiltered. It is a riveting sample of extravagance, fixation, and body. It ought to drink well youthful, yet develop pleasantly for 12-15 years."
