About the Winery

Established by Dr Max Lake in 1963, Lake's Folly was one of Australia's first boutique wineries. The 'crisis of expectations' is an ironic portrayal for his quick overview renowned wines. The Cabernet however is back in structure outlining the enigmatic reality that the climate in the winemaker's mind is as critical as vineyard site. The vineyard is situated on a blend of volcanic and alluvial soils. The Cabernet is open aged and afterward developed for roughly 12 months in a blend of new and utilized French oak barriques, the extent of new oak running from 1/3 to a 1/2 relying upon vintage. The Cabernet is an exquisite perfumed style with violet, blackcurrant, hearty characters, fine-grained tannins and basic flavorful oak.

About the Wine

Profound dark red with purple shades. Rich berry fruits dominate, dominatingly blackberry and blackcurrant. Cedar, some chocolate perplexing and rich. Takes after on from the nose. Rich berry fruits, delicate, delightfully organized sense of taste, sweet fruit superbly adjusted. An extraordinary wine with convergance of flavors congruously adjusted. A fantastic Lakes Folly one of the best.
